Sophie Luisa Duen’s goals for 2023 included the Westphalian Championships. With her junior horse Goldberg, the young rider has already achieved several victories this season, so that the pressure was definitely on the 16-year-old. With a second place and 68.829 percent in the first competition, many eyes rested on the likeable pair in the second round. But Goldberg and Sophie were not impressed by this and shone with a top round, which was rewarded by all three judges with the victory. With a score of 69.868 percent, they went into the final freestyle on Sunday, which Sophie won with 73.042 percent and another victory. This cleared the way for the title “WESTFÄLISCHER LANDESMEISTER- JUNIOREN 2023”.
Goldberg confirmed once again that breeding and sport can go hand in hand and that he is obviously thriving in his “role” as a master-teacher horse for Sophie. We congratulate him and are looking forward to further starts of this dream team.
