The European Junior Championships will certainly remain unforgettable for Lana-Pinou Baumgürtel. Gold in the team classification was followed by silver in the individual classification.
With a score of 73.394 percent on day 1, the young rider from Nottuln and her Escolar – Laurentian daughter ZINQ Emma FH made a strong case for the fight for the European Championship medals. And Emma fought hard: 74.088 percent and third place in the first competition brought the dream of a medal closer. And after the freestyle, national coach Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen was once again full of praise for the pair’s performance, which was rewarded by the judges with 79.165 percent.
“I had one hell of a feeling. And Emma is only nine. Before we bought her, she was a broodmare, but she is still developing. She is an absolute dream horse,” says Lana-Pinou Baumgürtel about the state premium mare bred by Winfried Albers.
