The season is still young, but the first Bundeschampionat qualifiers have already been determined. The offspring of sires from the Gut Neuenhof stallion station are at the forefront.
The Westphalian Maxim daughter Maxima NRW, born at Gestüt Gut Neuenhof and out of the Escolar full sister Edina, was able to recommend herself for the 2026 Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses with a confident victory in Bielefeld-Holtkamp. Under her trainer Danica Duen, she received an 8.26 from the judges. This means that the bronze medal winner of the 2024 National Riding Horse Championships is still unbeaten this season.
She could meet three “cousins” in the Warendorf arena in September. This is because the figurehead of the Gut Neuenhof stallion station, Escolar, has three offspring who could recommend themselves for Warendorf.
The Oldenburg reserve champion Esquire would be the defending champion under Eva Möller in Warendorf. The bay stallion bred by Maria Burzcyk and owned by Poland won the qualifier in Okel with a score of 8.46. He was the acclaimed Bundeschampion of four-year-old stallions last year.
Another stallion who is already familiar with the Warendorf atmosphere is the Hanoverian Eaton of Westfalia CvM, bred and owned by Ann Caroline von Möller. This Escolar son out of a Florencio dam is sponsored by Sabrina Geßmann and was fifth in the four-year-old stallion class last year. He was able to recommend himself for his performance this year with a third place in Bielefeld-Holtkamp, where he received an 8.12.
The third of the Escolar offspring on the way to Warendorf is Einfach Imposant B (dam by Westernhagen), who is also Hanoverian-bred. Daniela Burkhardt-Robert is the breeder here, Dr. Peter Brenske the owner and Kira Laura Soddemann is in the saddle. Einfach Imposant B represented the Hanoverian Verband at last year’s Bundeschampionat for four-year-old mares and geldings and finished eleventh. He is still unbeaten this season. He punched his ticket for Warendorf with an 8.46 in Haftenkamp.
