Two mares from Gestüt Gut Neuenhof qualified for the 2025 Westphalian Elite Show. Jumping talent Carina reached the final ring.
The homebred Carina by Caressini-Cristallo already demonstrated her talent not only at the poles but also in movement during her mare performance test. The beautiful gray mare, whose dam is a full sister to the premium stallion Cashmere, also confirmed this impression in Münster-Handorf. As catalog number 3, she was the first mare to march straight through to the final ring. Breeding director Thomas Münch’s assessment:
“A mare that we liked very much, especially when free jumping, with a lot of reaction, who showed all her ability and quality after a light touch. Standing clearly in the rectangular type, built on a correct, fine foundation with very flowing movements with a lot of elasticity,” he summarized the impressions that Carina left behind at her mare performance test in Soest and in Münster-Handorf.
Elite mare En Vogue
Another elite mare is returning home to Gestüt Gut Neuenhof: the Escolar daughter En Vogue, whose dam Gloria by Goldberg was celebrated here as a champion mare in 2018. Like Carina, En Vogue also passed an outstanding mare performance test. To be more precise, she was one of the best dressage-bred mares of the entire crop and the winner of her group in Soest with an overall score of 8.58 and a 9 for rideability from both the judges and the third-party rider. Thomas Münch emphasized this once again when he commented on En Vogue’s performance in Münster-Handorf. Even the onset of rain in Münster could not completely conceal how much movement quality this mare brings with her for the future. “The riding qualities that are growing up here are significant,” said Münch.
