Three broodmares enriched the lot of the 51st Foal and Broodmare Auction of the Hanoverian Verband in Verden. Connoisseurs were prepared to pay the highest price for a daughter of Escolar.
The six-year-old Ella Maxima went under the hammer for 50,000 euros, the highest hammer price ever. The breeder and exhibitor of the Rhineland-registered Verband premium mare is Rhenania Pferde GmbH.
Ella Maxima is a daughter of Escolar, bred to the Numero Uno – Caretino daughter Nahla. She represents the Holsteiner line 2543, which has already produced several licensed stallions and S-successful horses for show jumping and dressage. Faretino by Federico Fellini, who is successful in the USA up to Intermédiaire I level, is a half-brother to Nahla.
Ella Maxima also already has six offspring, some of which were born via embryo transfer. She has also been trained under saddle up to medium (M) level. She is in foal to the Hanoverian premium stallion Daan G for 2026.
