The FN breeding value assessment 2025 shows: Caressini, born at Gestüt Gut Neuenhof, has once again proven himself in show jumper breeding.

Since 2023, Caressini, who is now based at the Maas J. Hell station, has been among the top ten percent of jumper sires in young horse tests, and will be again in 2025. The Westphalian with Holsteiner genes has a breeding value of 136 with 75 percent reliability. By way of comparison: To make it into the top ten percent in young horse tests, stallions must have a breeding value of at least 125. With his values, Caressini is in the top third of stallions who have achieved this – and that with a very small number of offspring.

For the FN breeding value assessments, the results of the offspring and relatives are taken into account in addition to the horse’s own performance. Caressini can score points in all areas. Born in 2010, the Carento son was Westphalian and Bundeschampion as a five-year-old under Christian Kukuk. Canter, manner at the jump and rideability were worth top marks from the judges. In the international youngster tour, Caressini proved to be a no-fault guarantee and also placed in courses up to 1.50 meters. He has now been riding with Nina Piasecki for some time. His oldest offspring are eight-year-olds and several of them are already registered with the FEI as international show jumpers.

As far as the relationship is concerned – Caressini’s dam U-Cassina by Cassini-Carthago now has three licensed sons, in addition to Caressini the Cristallo son Cronau and Cashmeres Censing by Cashmere. The half-sister Cunterbunt by Caretino is internationally successful. The state premium mare Helena by Hermes de Lux out of U-Cassina completed an outstanding mare performance test and was ranked fourth in the final ring of the 2016 Westphalian Elite Mare Show. She is now keeping her dam’s legacy alive in the Gestüt Gut Neuenhof mare herd.
