Gestüt Gut Neuenhof was represented with three stallions at the 2025 Westphalian main licensing, two from its own breeding program and one that was raised in Nideggen. All three received a positive approval, one a premium.
What the FN breeding value assessment had already shown a few weeks before the start of the Westphalian main licensing was confirmed once again in Münster-Handorf: Caressini is a top jumper sire. His son bred at Gestüt Gut Neuenhof out of the proven Unsere Cera was able to convince all along the line in Münster-Handorf. A proven dam line, jumping ability, manner, movement, conformation and type – this gray horse has everything a sire needs. The licensing committee agreed and sent the youngster to the premium ring. The beautiful gray horse can now prove that he can pass on his qualities in the high area of show jumper breeding. He will be his sire’s stablemate at the Ulonska family’s Maas J. Hell station in Schleswig-Holstein.
For the breeding background: The great-great-granddam of this stallion is none other than the world-class mare Fein Cera from the famous Thormählen family. The Holsteiner Landadel daughter was team Olympic champion with US show jumper Peter Wylde in 2004 and had previously won bronze for her rider in the individual classification at the 2002 World Equestrian Games, where Fein Cera was the only horse in the horse change final to remain clear of all riders.
After the end of her sporting career, Fein Cera returned to the place of her birth and produced four foals here, including a licensed son and the mare Kleine Cera by Calato. Among others, she became the dam of the British Olympic mare Ornellaia (John Whitaker) and Pato Muente’s Derby winner Zera. When bred to the Holstein star sire Contender, Kleine Cera also produced the mare Pretty Cera, who with Olympic show jumping stallion Come One eventually became the dam of Gestüt Gut Neuenhof’s Unsere Cera, who gave birth to the new premium stallion at Gestüt Gut Neuenhof, who is now writing another chapter in this success story at the Maas J. Hell station.
Two dressage talents licensed
Gestüt Gut Neuenhof had sent two stallions to Münster-Handorf for the dressage collection. The first was a home-bred son of Escolar out of Grace by Goldberg. Grace is the full sister to the licensed Gabalier. Her dam, the St.Pr.St. Florence by Florenciano-Fidermark, also produced the Grand Prix horse Gut Neuenhof’s Elegance by Estobar NRW. The noble dark bay was licensed and will continue his career in the Czech Republic.
The son of world champion Glamourdale, who was bred by Susanne Scharf-Krüger at Gestüt Schultenhof out of Kallista S by San Amour I-De Niro-Furioso II, was also given the go-ahead for breeding. This youngster grew up in the pastures of Gestüt Gut Neuenhof and will in all likelihood enrich our stallion station. He had already impressed us as a foal, not only because of his movement potential, but also because of the proven Oldenburg dam line of Kaetchen-Kateste. The dam already produced the licensed and successful sport horse Fine Spirit out of a mating with Feinrich. A full sister of the dam is Sagami, who won S*** with Benjamin Werndl. Another plus in this pedigree is the blood connection in the fourth and fifth generation to the thoroughbreds Thyme xx and above all Manolete xx, which was so beneficial for warmblood breeding.
