Chevalier

- the flawless

The virtues of a sport horse also include its correctness, beauty and excellent conformation. This may have taken a back seat in German show jumper breeding in recent years - not least due to new blood influences. But Chevalier is a young stallion who has it all.

Progenies

According to age, we expect the first vintage of Chevalier in early 2023.

"What we particularly appreciate about Chevalier is that he combines almost unlimited potential at the jump with absolute body harmony. This correctness combined with highly interesting genetics makes Chevalier a special offer for our breeders."
- Sandra Schürner

Premium stallion 2021 and an eye-catcher on every course: Chevalier is the epitome of what we imagine a modern athlete to be. His first successes in tests for young show jumpers prove that this beautiful gray stallion is not only an exceptional talent with endless power and agility at the jump, but also has an outstanding willingness to perform.

Chevalier simply has it all

Chevalier not only impresses with his flawless character, but also with his strikingly harmonious foundation and absolutely correct conformation. His topline as well as his basic gaits are characterized by a clear uphill tendency and high elasticity. This typey young stallion is therefore particularly recommended for ensuring breeding progress.

Proven performance blood for decades

If you are looking for performance blood that will last for generations, you will find it here. Chevalier is the son of Checkter, who was only honored as an Oldenburg VTV stallion in 2021 and looks forward to a bright sporting future under Cian O'Connor with his first international victories. Dam Cortessa, like her sire Cornet Fever, placed up to advanced level; at the same time Chevalier, as a descendant of the successful 463 line, has stallions such as Pilot in his pedigree and thus genuine Westphalian silverware. Highly interesting genetics that have stood for sporting consistency for decades.

Achievements

Chevalier finished his first public appearance with a bang at the Westphalian licensing in November 2021, where he became a celebrated final-ring and premium stallion. He also passed his first disposition test and the sports test with flying colors. Chevalier got off to a flawless start in his sporting career: he completed his first novice class show jumping tests without any faults and with top placings.

Ancestry

Chevalier’s sire Checkter was only recently honoured as Oldenburg VTV Stallion of the Year. He is thus consistently continuing what he started with a record in 2017: He completed the first part of the stallion performance test Sport with a score of 9.66 – to date, this result is unsurpassed.

At the same time, Chevalier springs from the highly successful Westphalian tribe 463.

Dam Cortessa, like dam’s sire Cornet Fever, placed up to advanced level. Granddam Pytesse is no less than the full sister of the legendary stallion Phantom; other popular offspring of this line are Pro Pilot I and II, Co-Pilot and Nektar, who was successful under Herbert and Karin Rehbein. Pilot, Adlerorden and, in the fifth generation, Radetzky round off the Westphalian performance blood par excellence.

Without exception, every generation listed in this pedigree has proven itself athletically.
