Fürstentanz was licensed in Münster-Handorf in 2008 and subsequently completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a dressage index of 126.72 as fifth best. The half-brother of the winner of the German Mare Championships and the Rhineland Mare Show went on to win and place in a series of tests for young riding and dressage horses, including sixth place at the Bundeschampionat and fifth place at the Hanoverian Championships.

In 2011 and 2012 Fürstentanz qualified for the Bundeschampionate for young dressage horses. In 2013, he won medium (M) level dressage competitions and, from 2014, advanced level up to Intermediaire I.
