Carmello was approved by Rheinland in Wickrath in 2007 and by Oldenburg in Vechta in 2009.

Under Henrik von Eckermann/SWE he placed in numerous tests for young show jumpers. From 2011 to 2013 Carmello successfully competed in advanced (S*) level show jumping competitions with Emanuele Camilli/ITA, since 2015 he has been ridden by Meimei Zhu/CHN in international show jumping competitions in China.

The dam Elbrausch produced full siblings to Carmello, Cassandro, who was successful in advanced (S**) level show jumping and Cocorado, who won up to medium (M) level show jumping.
