Absolute commitment to the rider
Mare strain par excellence
Westphalian bred and pure Holstein, Caressini embodies all the performance and noble attributes of Holstein performance breeding: Outstanding type imprinting, the same applies to canter and jumping. With dream scores, Caressini advanced in 2015 under Christian Kukuk to become the Federal and Westphalian Show Jumping Champion. In the Warendorf Final, the extremely sporty grey stallion was awarded the dream marks of 9.1 and 9.4 for his sovereign appearance, perfect rideability and boundless jumping ability. In 2016, Caressini won several Bundeschampionat qualifications and has placings in international advanced (S**) level show jumping competitions to his credit.
The sire Carento, a son of the important Caretino, is sired three times by Contender-Lorenz-Cor de la Bryère to the latter Holstein import of the century. Out of a full sister to Carento’s dam Novice, who herself produced the Bundeschampionat fifth placed Gut Neuenhof’s Cantate, the seven-year-old Capriole who placed in advanced (S) level and the Westphalian show jumping champion mare 2010, Cristalies, comes the 1.1 million OS show jumping winner Le Champ Ask. In 2011, Carento placed seventh at the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old show jumpers and in 2012, after placing fourth and eighth in the qualifiers, he was again in the final. He then continued his career in the USA. Only sporadically used in breeding, he sired two other licensed sons besides Caressini: the Vice Westphalian Champion 2015, Cariscar, and Caraldik, who was already successful in eventing under Jens Hoffrogge and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. Carento’s Westphalian registered daughter Bella Hopp placed in the final ring of the Holstein Elite Mare Show.
The dam of Caressini, U-Cassina (by Cassini I), who was also born at the Gut Neuenhof stud, produced the licensed Cronau in a mating with Cristallo I. She herself was used exclusively for breeding after an outstanding SLP, where she received a 9.5 for her rideability and free jumping. The granddam St.Pr.St. Nena III (by Carthago) also completed a remarkable SLP (overall score 8.6), with her free jumping receiving the maximum score of 10.0.
The 2004 Holstein line produced 40 licensed stallions, including Acord’s Champion (PB Bay. ), Ariadus (USA), Carnando, (PB Hessen), Chromatico (PB Austria), Cool Man K (PB Baden-Württemberg) and in Holstein the sires Cromwell, Fähnrich, Gallapfel, Gaucho, Lando and Ratibor, furthermore Livingstone (PB Netherlands), Lord’s Highfly (PB Rhpfs.), Pacino (PB Westf.) and Polano (HLP winner). The dam line also produced a number of international show jumpers, including Clearwater 8/Jesse Luther.
